The Replacement for GPP has Arrived

The MAX S1 series replaces the popular GPP series, with the goal of pushing the boundaries of what a subwoofer is capable of. GAS has infused this new series with innovative design choices. For instance, the rigid cone is made of uncompressed paper with glitter minerals to balance power, weight, and musicality. These subwoofers are made to move.

Introducing the Smart Design

The dust cap has been borrowed from its little brother, the MAD S2, and is made from injection-molded polypropylene (IMPP) with a striking 3D design. With the MAX series, GAS takes design to a new level by incorporating a tough rubber surround with double stitched seams, allowing for greater movement. The backplate has also been expanded to allow the voice coil to move further in the magnetic gap, resulting in a longer Xmax for increased excursion. This minimizes the risk of damage to the voice coil during extreme movements. This is a subwoofer that can handle the hardest bass hits.

World-Class Cooling

A subwoofer that performs at its peak and sounds absolutely phenomenal requires top-notch cooling. GAS has chosen a thicker top and back plate, along with what is known as DVS2 (Dual Ventilation System), a new cooling system that ensures a healthier subwoofer with reduced distortion and increased heat dissipation.

The incredible cooling, double stacked 100oz magnets, and dual nomex spiders mean one thing: insane power in a 12" subwoofer. Its size makes it easy to double up on MAX S1-12D2 for maximum impact.
